About the Event

Microsoft Purview eDiscovery is one of the most powerful compliance and investigation platforms in Microsoft 365—but deploying it correctly is far more challenging than learning where the buttons are. Most organizations rely on feature demonstrations, YouTube videos, and generic product training, only to discover later that they are over-collecting data, exposing privileged information, increasing legal review costs, and creating unnecessary compliance risk.

This intensive one-day workshop is designed specifically for IT professionals responsible for deploying, administering, and supporting Microsoft Purview eDiscovery in real-world environments. Rather than a feature tour, you will learn the proven methods, governance principles, and operational techniques required to build a legally defensible, efficient, and secure eDiscovery capability across Microsoft 365.

You'll learn how to manage cases, enforce least-privilege security, apply legal holds, preserve chain of custody, search across SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and OneDrive, reconstruct conversations, process OCR content, perform redactions, reduce review volumes using advanced review sets and AI, and safely export evidence to external counsel. The course also covers emerging challenges such as identifying sensitive Copilot AI prompts and managing modern cloud-based evidence sources.

Led by internationally recognized information governance expert Bruce Miller, this training is based on decades of real-world implementation experience—not vendor marketing or scripted demonstrations. By the end of the course, you'll understand not only how Purview eDiscovery works, but how to deploy and operate it with confidence to reduce risk, lower costs, improve defensibility, and avoid the mistakes that cause eDiscovery projects to fail.
