How to Book Consulting Services
You can book consulting services with Bruce Miller directly on this website. Until in-person travel and visits resume, all RIMtech consulting services are delivered online via the Zoom online meeting platform. You can book a session directly onto Bruce’s calendar. Available working hours on most workdays (Monday to Friday) are 7 AM to 7 PM Eastern time (4 AM to 4 PM Pacific time). There are several convenient ways to book and pay for consulting services with Bruce Miller. All prices are in $US.
Prepaid Sessions
Use this type of service when you wish to prepay online via credit card for a block of time with Bruce Miller. Select “Consulting Services, Online, Prepaid”. Click “Book Now”. Select 1 or more timeslots, and you’ll have two payment choices:

Buy a Pricing Plan
Select a payment plan that suits your needs. Payment plans consist of a package of consulting hours for a fixed price, paid in advance. Use these consulting hours by booking 1-hour sessions on Bruce Miller’s calendar. We offer a number of payment plans for your convenience and we’ll be adding new plans from time to time. We can also create a plan tailored specifically for you. For now, the following pricing plans are available (all prices are in $US):

For each of the four prepay plans, select a plan corresponding to your tax zone (outside Canada, or one of three Canada zones). This way the appropriate taxes are applied to your payment. The plan “40 hours, monthly US” applies to any country except Canada, as Canadian taxes are not applied. This plan consists of 40 hours total services, billed monthly at a rate of US $2,000.
Invoiced Sessions

The price of each plan will be shown as free ($0), due to a website limitation. Once you’ve completed your initial session booking, we will contact you to arrange payment via invoice. Consumption of Consulting Hours
For any given consulting arrangement, the arrangement/contract will consist of a fixed number of total hours. These hours can be consumed in one of the following two ways:
Sessions. A “session” is an online Zoom meeting with Bruce Miller. If you pay online in advance, the total number of consulting hours is represented by the total number of sessions.
RIMtech hours. A “RIMtech Hour” is an hour consumed by Bruce Miller, working on your project but not online with you or a member of your team. Examples of this might include report writing, research, report revision, phone calls with vendors or other stakeholders, etc.
Suppose you purchased a payment plan of 40 hours. On the RIMtech website you would technically be able to book up to 40 one-hour sessions with Bruce Miller. Suppose however that of the 40 hours you paid for, it’s agreed that Bruce requires 20 hours to prepare your report and complete the research, etc. That would be 20 hours of online sessions, and 20 RIMtech hours for a total of 40 hours. In this case we will adjust the number of online sessions to 20. This way when you book online sessions you will be limited to the 20 hours needed for online sessions.
